  8. aww, guys, this thread was going so well for a while...

i think mine would be almost identical to warwick5s's, except i'd take a crown over the mackie based on what i've heard.

    From top to bottom.

    2 inches of foam
power conditioner with lots of flashing lights
korg rackmount runer (more flashing lights)
    ampeg svp-pro
    swr grand prix
    swr interstellar overdrive
something to switch between all of those (with lights)
    dbx 31 band eq
    mackie 1440
    cooling fan
mackie1440 (2 amps to power my 4 dream cabs)
    2 more inches of foam

i pick the mackie over a crown, because they have cool flashing lights that go up and down with your dynamics. Bass players (myself included) have this obsession with flashing lights... we all know that a normal $40 tuner would do fine, but noooo, we gota get the $200 korg one, because it has the cool flashing lights.
    IMHO, as always

Im in process of buiding mine right now and here is what I have.

    ampeg svp-pro
    carvin 1500wt pwr amp

here is the rest of it which i should have in the next month.

    furman conditioner w/ lights
    dbx 160 xl compressor
    korg rack tuner
    bbe sonic max.

hopefully it will all sound good together.
  14. The thing I don't understand, if you look closely at the strange EQ curve. It looks like a double smiley face type, with a peak in the center of the curve.

Perhaps somebody needs to tweak those knobs a bit more. I bet it would put out better with some tweaking.
  15. 1. Furman power conditioner
    2. Korg rackmount strobe tuner
    3. Aguilar DB680 preamp
    4. Two (2) Peavey DPC1400x power amps
    5. A serious flight case with casters
    6. Carmen Electra pushing this whole thing around!

Those Peaveys look really nice - one rack space and 1400 watts (bridged into 4 ohms). Two would be the perfect companion for a pair of Acme Low B-2's!

i really wish i could try out one of those aguilar's to see why everyone says they're so wonderful. They cost too much for stores where i live to carry them, i suppose
  17. huhhuh huhhuh huhhuh...Racks rule...
    SWR Mo' BASS
Korg Tuner (whatever model that one is...flashing
LEDs rule, too bad they don't work on my current
SWR Grand Prix (I <heart> my SWR!)
And some cheap @$$ wireless system ;-)
