Rack Units

    I'm having a hard time finding rack units for bass . Does anyone know any websites with a nice selection of differnet rack efects for bass?

    Well, try Musician's Friend, or American Musical Supply. Offhand, I can only think of a few rack-mount pre-amps (Eden, Alembic, SWR, Tech 21, Ampeg) and, of course, the Bass POD Pro. Not too much in the way of effects. I'm sure someone in here will know of some more.

    Don't limit yourself to things that say 'bass' on the front - the TC Electronics G-Force and G-Major are worth looking at, as are the Lexicon MPX-1, MPX-G2, MPX-100, 200 and 500, and various Digitech guitar boxes.

    The Boss VF1 is also very good for bass.

    I'm using the Lexicon MPX-G2, which is great.

    Michael Manring and Ed Friedland both use the Boss VF-1.
