Thinking about adding a rack EQ to give me a little more control. Looking at the Rane ME30/ME30B. Any suggestions on a good EQ? not looking at parametrics. And my other question is whats the db range of a bass just because i'm curious?

If you want good EQ, then I wouldn't rule out parametric - much more flexible than a fixed frequency setup.
The graphic EQ is stuck at certain frequency points such as 40HZ, 120HZ, 160HZ, etc.

Much better, but it might even be overkill. For example, I use a channel strip/mic preamp with low and high shelving and two parametric mid controls. That gives plenty of tonal adjustment.
Art, Presonus, Focusrite are popular. I haven't used them but they get good reviews by users on Talkbass.
A bit like one channel of a mixing desk. Preamp, compressor, EQ all in one box.
