    Radial JDV Mk3 Active Super Direct Box

    One of the best direct boxes ever made! Crystal clear, pristine capture of the input. Zero coloration added unlike some other high end DIs. Excellent with electric and acoustic bass.

    Here's a video of this JDV in action. I took a feed off the acoustic guitar's onboard preamp jack into the JDV and then into the recorder. Beautiful, clear nylon string tone. FYI, I laid a Shure Beta91A boundary mic inside the cajon and took that direct feed. I also mic'd the Arnopol Crazy8 bass speaker cabinet with a large diaphragm condenser mic. We had very little space for micing so this setup worked great. The JDV makes the bass input sound amazing, too.
