Rainy day project - Pickup & Electronics Swap

    This bass had EMG's on it but really didn't care for the tone, so I swapped it out for some Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders and swapped the controls with the '61 Stacked Knob setup (CTS pots, Switchcraft Jack, etc.)
    Now she is really a screamer...

    Will give it another quick setup and cleaning.

    I did the same with my mim 70s jazz a couple weeks ago. my stacked knob setup has a parallel/series switch, however. I also installed sd quarter-pounders. still getting used to tweaking the knobs. as a decades-long p-bass user, the whole thing (jazz bass, blending pickups, turning knobs, etc) is a learning process. so far, so good. looking forward to practice tonight!
