Early 80s Washburn B-20 4 string bass guitar. Black on black on black, Neckthrough Maple/ Rosewood/ Maple neck, Ash body, madagascar Ebony fingerboard, brass ring inlays, 1 5/8" nut, vintage V neck profile, string through body, brass saddle bridge, upgraded to a DiMarzio P pickup, tuners have been upgraded to Schallers, Made in Japan. Very light at 8 lbs. Some cosmetic wear throughout as expected for a almost 40 year old bass (see pics), gigbag. There's not a lot of these for sale and the ones that sold ranged from $550‐$750. Open to trades, anything that might spark my interest. Send offers in PM with pics $550 shipped
Hmmm.. are you sure that isn't a Maccassar Ebony fretboard? (The spec sheet mentions ebony...). If it was, then it would likely escape notice from the CITES regulations (which would expand your market considerably...) - since the "maple/rosewood/maple" neck lams ("3-piece maple and rosewood neck") (which seems unlikely???) alluded to in the spec sheet are not visible through the paint...
Well, in that case, I'd be interested in learning the nut width and weight of that bass. Does it come with any case or gig bag?
I have one of these in blue burst and it is one of my favorites. The distance between the P & J pickups really make for a distinct sound. Neck has a comfortable V shape. Highly recommended by me.
This is when Washburn was a good brand and pros played them. 80's all the way and GREAT quality and feel. Besides the zebra spandex, aquanet, does it come with a two finger 8th of weed ?
