Hey all, this was my fathers bass, from what I have gathered there were only 50 of these reissues made in this configuration. If anyone else has any info please shoot me a message. All reasonable offers will be considered, best offer gets it.

With only 50 units ever made, this Hofner Limited Edition 1959 Reissue 500/1 bass is truly a rarity. Built to the original 1959 specs, this bass looks, feels, and sounds like the Hofner made famous by Paul McCartney in the early days of the Beatles.

Features include a Spruce top, fully hollow body with flamed Maple back and sides, Maple/Beech/Maple neck, Rosewood fretboard, Shadow vintage-style pickups, 2 vintage style volumes, 3-switches, trapeze tailpiece, and a white-black-white layered nut.

Condition

Excellent Condition; Clean with minor wear from normal gentle use. Two small dings in the top, shown in pics. All electronics tested and working. This is a pre-owned instrument and there are minor signs of use. Please view the pictures carefully and consider them part of the description. Comes with Case, neck wrench, owners manual and leather strap.
