Rattle in Pignose Hog 30

    I've had my Hog for about 9 months now, but have just recently started to use it a lot. I've noticed that it rattles/hums on the E and A strings. What should I look for? TIA

    You're most likely pushing it too hard. it is, afterall, a very small practice combo. Turning the lower eq and/or volume up past the mechanical limits of the tiny spkr will sound horrible, as well as kill the spkr eventually too.

    shoved furniture foam in the back of mine, sounds fuller, mine came with a loose screw that rattled, but it stopped when i took the back off and did the foam mod

    Ric, I've never turn then vol pass half way.

    Position of volume knob is not related to output.
