So I have a BB434 bass, and the strings I use are Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies the 105 gauge one. The problem seems to be that the tuner (more specifically the tuning peg) is slightly loose, so it makes this rattling noise whenever I play the string .

I've read some guides and forums about it and some people get by by supergluing the tuner, and I'm not really fond of that idea, so are there any other ways around it?

Do you have photos of the machine-head?
Is it the capstan or the paddle?

On my G&L ASAT the problem was that the paddle was loose & rattled every time I hit a note on that string.
In this drawing the paddle is 33-1/2 mm wide & 25 mm tall, the capstan is 8 mm in diameter:

I don't have any pictures sorry, but the tuning peg seems to wiggle just a bit, just enough to rattle

Update : The problem is somewhat solved! I checked as to which part was loose and found out that it is not the entire tuning peg, just the connection between the "handle" and the shaft of the tuner. I superglued it as it is not a moving part.
