Follow on from my previous PBR-1 review: Not too much to add to what I already said, since it's basically a two pickup version of that. Operation is exactly the same, centred the eq is flat. Back it off and bass is boosted, treble cut. Turn it up, treble boost and slight bass cut. Again, I didn't find much use for the treble boost mode and used it mostly for boosting bass when favoring the bridge pickup. Since it's a buffered input, I noticed more granularity in the volume control turns than with a standard passive V/V/T setup. Again, it's a great K.I.S.S. preamp. Installation is a cinch, and it sounds great. Having said that, I'm probably not going to keep it in for long, since I promised myself I'd keep this jazz bass passive I can post clips in a while if anyone is interested.
