Raven Labs (Steve Rabe) made some of the highest-quality, best built, quietest, sturdiest and most useful gear even made for bassists. Now he’s retired and when a piece of Raven Labs equipment shows up, it’s something special. Link:

This is the True Blue EQ--a five band, semi-parametric EQ designed to “enhance the essence” of your sound, while maintaining the basic characteristics. Boost or cut is achieved by adding or subtracting the original signal to itself in a parallel arrangement. Most EQ’s use active series circuits that can muddy the signal, cause phase shifting, and other undesired results.

The bandwidths in the boost mode were chosen for their musicality, and are a function of frequency. The bandwidths in the cut mode are narrower, creating more of a notch filter affect. This allows the user to better pinpoint a problem area without drastically altering the true sound. You will notice the difference the first time you use it!

Unit is in mint condition with only a few wispy marks on top. 100% perfect functional condition. Price is $235 firm, shipped to the lower 48. If it doesn’t sell, I’m more than happy to hold onto it!
