Raven Labs True Blue EQ?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by John K., Jul 7, 2002.

  1. I gotta get some new gear for a band im joinin, and I came across the True Blue. I really like the semi-parametric EQ @ 5 bands. Can this be used as a preamp? I noticed that it had balanced/unbalanced ins/outs. Can I use those for an input from my bass?

If not, I could go for the Sansamp RBI. But I really like the versatility of the semi-parametric EQ.

    Any help?

If you havn't noticed yet, I'm kind of on a budget of about $300.

Raven Labs doesn't recommend it. It has a very low input impedence, like around 20K. It might work with some active systems, definitely won't work with passive electronics.

if you're still on the Raven Labs tip, check out the new rackmount USIP. on the dudepit you can find more info, but here's what i cut/pasted:

UNIVERSAL STEREO INSTRUMENT PREAMP: The ultimate rack mountable stereo preamp for virtually any musical instrument. Three band semi-parametric EQ for each channel. Stereo and Balanced XLR and Line outputs. Headphone jack. Footswitchable mute function. Multiple side chain effects loops.

    sounds mad tempting.
