i recently won an old model rb 700 off ebay. it puts out 380 watts at 4 ohms but i decided to go bran new since it wont cost me a whole lot more and i wont to worry about my gear givin out that way. ive found a GK 1x12 neo and 2x10 sbx should provide plenty of volume since we play pretty LOUD. my drummer sounds like he plays with baseball bats LOL. anyways do you guys think 480 watts will be enough for should i go with thr 1001 with 700 watts? i use to play thru a goliath III and bass 750 puttin out 425 watts and i ran that with the master all the way up and the gain at 12 o'clock and that was perfect volume. ive heard SWR is generous with their ratings though so i wonder if the GK will cut better and i might not have to turn up as loud?

I had pretty much decided to buy a 700RB-II but then ended up just going for the 1001 so I'll never have to worry about headroom again, and I got it for the price of a 700 anyways. I only run mine at 8 ohms so it gives me 460 watts, and i barely turn it up to 2.5 and I have a pretty loud drummer as well with 2 guitar players...

I agree with dave120, if you can afford the 1001 get it. You will not have to worry about headroom. That said, the 700 should get the job done.
