I've become pretty bored with the color on my Vintage 4. I don't wanna sell it & buy another one cause it just fits my hand like a glove & the bass is soo played. I was thinking of finishing it this color:

    Opinions?

 How about just changing the pickguard or removing it altogether?

    Been there, done that. :D

It originally had no p.g w/the control plate, then I put a clear one on it, then a w/b/w & it now sports a mirrored guard.

nice burst! i would love to have either but probably the burst more. if it were my decision to make i would leave it because the time i would spend refinishing the bass is time i wouldnt be playing! :D nice bass collection btw....

How about Cherryburst with a perliod pick guard?. Hows the standard four in carmelburst that is a sweet looking bass, any word on the tokyo your getting. Keep rockin :bassist:

  8. if that is what you want to do then go for it. I have always like sunburst. I am assuming you are going to have sadowksy do the re-finishing.

    The answer is simple...

    Sell it to Funky Carnivore...

He can't resist the blue bass.

I assume Roger will do the refinishing for you, so why not? 59' burst is more timeless and classic looking, I think you will be more pleased with this in the long run...well, I've got a 59' burst vintage 4-string on order, so what can you expect from me...good luck making your decision! ;)

  15. I love the burst. I bet you will too!

I'm a huge LPB fam myself. I've been dreaming up a LPB Jazz w/matching head & Pau Ferro board.
