    Good news fellow Aussies, i just spoke to a customs representative ( i will be looking to import a bass in the near future) and i was told that new legislation was passed on October 12, 2005. All goods under $AUS1000 have ZERO DUTY OR TAXES!!!!!!

    That's a value of around $US700, which many different basses manage to sneak under from time to time.

    Finally some good news! With the petrol prices, industrial relations reforms and shoot to kill terror laws being introduced, its nice to know our government is still thinking of the people!

    I guess the govt doesn't need the money any more. If you saw how much tax we pay ......................
