Re-stringing my spector thru neck.

Discussion in 'Hardware, Setup & Repair [BG]' started by Nickthebassist, Jan 13, 2005.

  1. Ok it has light gauge or medium gauges on now, but I have heavy gauges for it. If these put too much tension on the neck, which way do i turn the truss rod to give the neck less of a bow(less relief)?
  2. No help?

Clockwise will straighten the neck (convex) loosening the rod (counter clockwise) will will make it concave (raising your action, probably not the direction that you want to go with the heavier strings)
