Is it possible for me to rewire my stock Schecter MM pickups to work with a pre-amp that has a series/parallel switch? I'm not a guitar tech by any means and I couldn't seem to find any information on this as it is rather specific.

I'm highly opinionated and extremely self-assured
If the Schecter pickup has separate wires for each coil, then yes. Typically there will be four wires of different colors, with sometimes a fifth bare wire for shielding. How many wires are coming out of your pickup?

If the stock MM isn't 4-conductor, it's easy enough to buy a cheapie SD in ceramic or Alnico.

You can go big with a Nordstrand, or get into the dark growly with a Bart.

Lots of options, it's why my Warwick $$'s are more fun test mules than anything I play out.

You just don't get such a wide range to play with in other pickup formats.
