  1. Ok, this is for the newcomers not familiar with the boards around here.

Lately i have been moving threads with questions more about the settings on amps. I know theoretically that this forum is about overall "setup" but more about the setting up of your basses etc.

If you are wishing to post something that involves the tonal settings of your amp, the overall sound of you're equipment, how many rack cases you have, or the punchiness of your sound out of your amp... please try it in another forum. You will ultimately get a better response.

Having said that, if you aren't getting the sound you are after and it may be because of your bass, then post it here! Either that or it will get moved here. lololol

I hope i am not out of line by posting this, if so Hambone either remove this thread or email me. It just seems lately that i have been moving a "amps" thread nearly everyday.

I would also like to say thanks to the people who post in here regularly and don't kick up a fuss. Makes it easy for us mods when yall so nice. ;)

    Merls.

  2. I wish to add a little extra here this week. It has become apparent that many threads are the same. Not similar and the answer couldn't be found via searching, thats understandable.

But lately threads are cropping up with identical headings as well, and on the same day. All i ask is that people read the threads on the page first, then try a basic search. and try a few searches. if you type in "fret buzz" and it comes up with nothing, try "truss rod" and you may find the answer.

I apologise if this seems out of line, discussions are fine, but as members you will make my job and Hambones so much more efficient, rather than us just going "please take a search".

    Merls

As a reminder, if your question or comment involves pickups or other electronic issues it probably belongs in Pickups. Setup is meant for *mechanical* issues.
