Ok as some of you know my bassman 250/115 speaker blew. I'm still dealing with fender as its less than a year old. Anyway, I replaced the speaker and let me tell you this thing is freaking amazing! I put an eminence basslite C2515 Neo in my Fender Bassman 250/115. I researched the poop out of 4 ohm 15" speakers and never really came up with any concrete answer as to what would be best. I went out on a limb and bought this one because it is 4 ohm, 300 watt and had an Xmax over 4mm(something I found during my research). Mounting it didn't go so well at first as the taper of the new speaker needed more room to sit flush. I was able to take my pocket knife and relieve the edge of the mounting hole so the speaker would sit flush. Screwed it in pluged it up and goodness gracious was I surprised! It sounds so good. The lows are awesome and the highs are incredible. I played through it for a while and then decided to try it as an extension cab for my GBE600 and avatar 212 neo. I set it on top of the 212 and the thing sounds amazing. So now whenever my 212 isn't enough, I can just grab my combo/extension cab (that happens to be noticably lighter with the neo speaker) to push more air! I am extremely pleased. Sooo, if anyone has a bassman 250/115 trash the stock speaker and replace it for the sweetest sounding combo/extension cab ever. IMHO

  4. I have also replaced my stock Bassman250/115 speaker with the Basslite C2515.
The OP is right. Changed a good amp into a great amp.

The specs show a big peak in the 1-2KHz region. Are there any nasal or honking qualities to the sound?

There are also some woofers in the pro-sound category that are sometimes recommended for bass, like the Deltalite or Kappalite.

  6. I sold my Bassman 250/115 about six months ago when I went to a rack/stack rig. I couldn't justify keeping it, but I do regret it. This thread isn't helping. :-(

I've needed a replacement speaker for my old Traynor cab. I think this might be incentive to get one of these speakers.
