electric Bass Guitar, 4 string, unique custom amde | eBay
Gotta know what you think. I'm not sure.
Fake, I've been seeing those exact basses pop up for quite a while.
That is not a ritter, the bridge body contours and fretboard are all wrong.
Though, it isn't claiming to be a Ritter.
It even says it's a meastro
It's junk,in my eyes. And,it'd most likely be junk to my ears, too. There' s NO COMPARISON between that bass, and this bass. Now THIS is a bass,if that's your thing:
Where would you get strings long enough for that?
considering that it isn't advertised as a Ritter AND is custom "adme" and starts at 195 USD, tends to indicate that it isn't a real Ritter
My guess would be the same place you'd get 'em for this:
I would think that anyone seriously considering a Ritter would see that is not one in about a second.
There are '64 P basses and $100 dollar basses that look like a P bass, nobody seems too confused.
Don't get me wrong, I think anyone copying Jens's original designs are douchenozzles. They should be taken out and raped repeatedly by an actual Ritter bass. I am sure Jens might even use that actual bass for his next experimental finish. Win/Win
I'd buy it now !!!! Look, a hard shell case for the bass is probably just $29.95 !!!!!!!
but...it says "Wilkins pickups. Great sound and action. Truss rod."
It has a truss rod!!!!!
It's similar to a Ritter in terms of design style, but the body is clearly different from any of the Ritter models, the headstock is different, the seller doesn't claim it to be a Ritter, and the seller claims the brand is "Maestro."
I don't really know how it could be confused with a Ritter, honestly.
Now, John Turner's 7-string Ritter copy/Guitar Center incident... THAT was a convincing Ritter copy.
Looks like the Chinese fakers I saw at Namm.
I thought so, but you do see things from time to time that are mis marked. I was curious because of the individual monolith bridge and I am not a Ritter expert.
Looks like the same bridge that is on my Ibanez BTB
This is GREAT stuff if you haven't seen it:

Since I think we covered the original question, I LOVE the look of the Roya, but this shape is just that bit too weird for me. I'm also not up on Ritters, is that shape called the Jupiter?
I think so. Outlandish but I'm growing to like it.
