Reasonably pricing modded basses

Hi everyone,

I am working out how to fund my new medium scaler as I figure out what it is going to be

Part of this will include cleaning house on other instruments

I have a fairly significantly modified bass that I may decide to put up on the block, but as I have never sold a non-stock bass before, I am kind of at a loss. I'd hate to part it out, since it is a very nice little instrument, but it seems like folks generally may think that the best course?

Any rules of thumb anyone might share, or advice or experience?

If this is not the appropriate forum for this question, please advise. I have purposefully refrained from details for this reason.
