I mentioned a few other threads that a friend gave me a Rebop Deluxe five string that is in NIB condition. Obviously, I an extremely grateful for such a generous gift, but I am also very happy because this bass the sort of lower midrange tone and growl that I identify with Warwicks that I love so much. I guess this makes sense since the Streamer is a licensed version of the NS design bass just like the original Spector. The thick neck profile and tiny body are a real switch from my TL-5, but I find it very comfortable. I guess having
owned a NS-5 long ago helps.

I posted a pic in the next to last Spector club mega thread. I also posted the same pic in another thread.

I still can't over the fact it was a gift myself!

  4. For my 40th birthday last week, my wife gave me the spalty-topped Sadowsky Standard 5 on the table in front of me in this picture. I gave *myself* the matching bass on the stand behind me.

  11. Well, it's pretty easy when you use fondant rather than traditional icing-- oh wait, you don't mean the cake, do you?

I used it rehearsal yesterday. It needs almost no treble boost at all. This bass is going to be a great addition to my stable.
