Reccomend some Spanish Rock

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by WyrdoBass, Oct 30, 2010.

  1. Hey all, for a "karaoke" project in Spanish class, I need to find and sing a song entirely in spanish, accompanied by bass. This shouldn't be a problem, except I don't know any good songs to sing! Any help?

  7. The band Extremoduro is pretty good. Spanish hard rock
  8. I recall PUYA having some interesting stuff. They may be Puerto Rican, though.

The Clash's Spanish Bombs has a decent amount of indecently pronounced Spanish in it.

Soda Estereo. Their song "En La Ciudad De La Furia" unplugged version is great. The bass lays down the groove with the guitar taking center stage. If you are going to sing though, this might be the song for you since it's got a nice laid back tempo. There is a karaoke version of this song on disc (and possibly download).

El ultimo Concierto(live) is a great introduction to the amazing body of work this band has. Gustavo Cerati, lead singer and guitarist is a truly amazing song writer even if you don't speak spanish.

+1 my favorite spanish singing rock band... I was lucky enough to catch lead singer gustavo cerati's solo act live in 2003 in a small amphitheater where he played about 4 or 5 soda stereo tracks. If your looking for a good grunge alternative record, look into 1992's dynamo.
