I failed to find any info on the SR signature series Ibanez released in 2000 or so, the Gary Willis, Doug Wimbish and Verdine White models. Apparently they didn't sell that well and now all are discontinued, except for the Willis model. But that's actually good news since you can find NOS-ones for half the list price. So has anyone anything to say these? I've been hunting for a nice passive four some time and feel like VW-model could be a serious contender, as it should be "voiced towards a passive".
A local store just got in a DW3 signature - they're still being produced. JMX hit the hail on the head, though. They're simply too expensive in today's market. It's a shame, because the Willis and Wimbish models are fine instruments.
Ah, you are right Scarred, just noticed that the third version of DWB seems to be in production myself. Apparently based on SRX-series, this time. European street price seems to be around 1000, dunno if that's THAT bad for an (signature series) instrument with contoured body, through-neck, nice woods and EMG pups. The VWB-models seem to be around 800, not that horrible either.
