can someone recommend me a recording of have you met miss jones with a good bass solo to transcribe? if not a bass solo, then anyother instrument will do as well, thanks.
  2. Try finding "Super Chops" Joe Pass and Niel Henning- Orsted Pederson and check out NHOP playing the head in the thumb position, very cool solo's by both players.

The Ray Brown Trio, "Live From New York to Tokyo". Miss Jones is the opening cut, and it swings so hard that if you're not careful, you'll crap yourself right where you stand. This is a two-disc set, the first of which was originally released as "The Red Hot Ray Brown Trio".

Or if you wanted to be really careful you could listen to it in the bathroom.
  5. And look at pictures of basses while you're listening.

Amen, bro. They're swinging like wild dogs on that track.
