  1. anyone know anything about a music man sillouette? if so, does anyone have the price or specs? thanks
  2. Nate, don't quote me on this because I don't have
the copy of Bass Player Magazine that the Sillouette
was in, but I think they're going for $1,800.00 list,
and have a graphite or graphite reinforced neck.
They have a couple other lesser features, but, I
think that Musicman only made 100 of them. The
fact that they're supposed to be a collector's item
probably means that you won't get much of a discount. Who knows? It sure looks good.

Are they even bass guitars? Look like baritone guitars to me.
  4. Oysterman, they're not 34 inch scale?

You are talking about the Sabre... wich has a Modulus Neck.

The Silhouete is a Baritone 6 String Guitar that is still on production.
It is at the Ernie Ball website.
  7. thought so b/c I used to go there and look at it and wonder why they had a guitar on their site *shrugs*

They have many guitars on their site. They have actually many more guitar models than bass models. What puzzles me is that they call a baritone guitar "bass guitar" and puts it on the bass pages. Who are they trying to fool? Well, apparently it fooled someone... ;)

I've seen a MM Silouette and found it pretty cool. I often wonder what it would be like if I had decided to make it my main instrument (I like the Charlie Hunter concept) I think it was going for $900 or $1200, I'm not sure which. It really feels like a guitar, but you can slap on it too if you can overlook the narrow spacing. Also, Chords sound amazingly good.

  10. Can anyone guess what I'm eating for dinner tonight?

Boy I'm glad I said don't quote me on this one.
