OK, I picked up an old Sony tape deck/recorder made in 1981. It has quarter inch mic inputs; one for the left channel, one for the right.
If I were to run the LINE OUT from my amp into the MIC IN on the tape deck, would I be risking damage to either my amp or the tape deck?

try plugging your bass directly into the soundboard...it wont do any damage that way.

Yes you can do that. The one thing you do not want to do is use the extension cab output on your amp. That is a little too much juice. Good Luck!
