recording on android with PJB bighead pro

I cant seem to find a compatible recording app. for the new Phil Jones bighead (ha-2). The manual suggested sony neutron music player. It looks like a top notch music player but no record function? At least I can't see it with the free version (if its there at all).
then yesterday I downloaded a few free usb rec. apps but they didn't recognize the bighead.

Windows laptop with Reaper found it easily with a provided usb driver download.
I just don't have any experience recording with a tablet or phone.
Any recommendations for recording apps would be appreciated.
