I'm going into the studio next week....anyone know whether I can use the 502's Di without a speaker load connected?

Also, with regards to the pre/post eq switch for the Di....which position is which? It's not clear from the graphic on the back, and the instructions don't help.

    Thanks guys

Just back from recording with the 502.

It produced some mighty fine results too.

I set the master at 0, and used the gain as normal, selected pre eq at the DI and had to turn the Di level way down as the signal was very hot.

I'm not experienced in recording, but I was very happy with my recorded tone thru the UL502

Great to know thanks. I'm late to this but:

I was told to use the DI for feeding a live board and use the Pre Amp out for recording. I did do some simple stuff into my Mbox from the preamp out and had no gain issues.
