Can anyone who has owned one or more of these pedals offer any insight on which sounds better or best on bass. I'm looking for a pedal that can do standard reverberation the best on bass, maybe with some added features as well. Thanks in advance!

The IE Nimbus is great. It keeps the low end, sounds massive. It gives you no nonsense room to cave reverb. Works great, easy to setup. The SA Dimension is a million times more flexible, but takes longer to setup.

I had the Nimbus and got the Dimension instead. The Dimension will give you more possibilities, you can have two presets on the pedal, lots more if you use their hub.

They are all good. The HOF would be my last choice.

Out of those I would say Red panda followed by Nimbus followed by the dimension. Mostly because I don't like the digital interfaces of the SA pedals. Which admittably is my own confusion with using them. With a midi hub it is much more convienient to recall favorite presets without losing them.

Also I would suggest throwing the EQD Afterneath in the mix. Sounds huge on bass but it's definitely not an average reverb.

I have the Context and the Nimbus and I absolutely need both of them! Nimbus is great for thicker sounds and while the Context can do those too, it excels in subtler, more "main mix" sounds. The Context can also do trails if you set it to buffered bypass mode, but then the blend affects your level even when bypassed. For generic jack-of-all-trades use, I would go with Context over the Nimbus. Can't comment on the other pedals.

Yeah, the Dimension interface is love or hate it often.

As for the others (Panda, HOF), I did not mention them, not because I don't like them, but I only briefly tried them in a store. So, I cannot really speak from personal experience.

Ok, please don't laugh at me but I had both the SA Dimension Reverb and Zoom MS 70-CDR for about a month. The Zoom was just as good and had even more to offer with a far less complicated UI. It's smaller, cheaper and I have to say....it sounded just as good!

Any thoughts on the Strymon Blue Sky or Big Sky?

I think those are the ultimate reverb. :) If you have the budget and board space, you may just skip ahead and get a Big Sky :)

What about the Strymon Timeline as well since I've heard it do some reverb-type stuff. Are these pedals really worth the nearly $500 price tag?

I used to have the Strymon blue sky. Its a fantastic reverb pedal, but im actually more happy with the TC HOF mini. Its cheaper, takes less space, less knobs and the one reveb sound i use is just as good.

Yeah, the Timeline (and many other delays) can mimic a reverb, the Ice-mode is especially nice for that. And yes, if you can afford them and have use for all they can do, they're more than worth it. If you only need a few different delay sounds, the Timeline might be excessive.

I currently don't own either a reverb or delay and am on the market for both. Would it be a smart move to get something like the Strymon Timeline to potentially save money instead of buying a separate reverb and delay?

Depends, do you need both delay and reverb on at the same time? How many different kinds of delay types and sounds do you need? Same question for reverbs? Red Panda Context also has a very good basic delay mode if you don't need to go fancy on that side.

Since I'm generally new to both of these effects, I can't really say exactly what I want. In general, I usually like having more options than not, and I also would want to be able to have both effects on at the same time. With a budget of around $500ish right now, I could either get either the Timeline or Big Sky and then wait a while to get the other, or I could buy a $250 delay and a $250 reverb. That's what I am currently trying to decide between. I don't NEED either effect anytime soon, so waiting wouldn't really be a problem, it's more just if spending that much is really worth it.

In that case, I would probably go with the Context for now, since it will do reverb even on delay mode and you will get an excellent reverb when you don't need the delay. Then you can expand on the delay side when you think you need to. As GASsy as I am, I haven't had too much interest in buying the Big Sky after I got the Context. This way, you will only end up spending ~$200 for both a basic delay and a great reverb, leaving you more to play with when you know better about your preferences. (Prymaxe is running a 20% discount campaign at the moment ;))
