If you're looking at this bass, than you probably already know a little about it. The Grooveline basses are considered some of the very finest instruments that Ibanez ever made. If you are a jazz bass fan you'll be right at home with this bass because it's essentially Ibanez's interpretation of what a jazz bass should be.

I'm selling to fund a custom built 6-string. Here's the pics...

The only mark I can find on the bass is this small indentation on the side of the neck. It doesn't affect playability and I can't feel it at all when I'm playing.

    The Stats (from Sweetwater's info):
    • 18mm String Spacing
    • 34" Scale
    • Tight-End bridge gives you great sustain
    • CAP "Sonic Arch" pickups: great ergonomics and noise-free tone
    • Active/passive operation for amazing tonal versatility
    • A premium, boutique-level bass, precision-made in Japan
    • Fast 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck and rosewood fingerboard
    • Alder body with figured ash top and back
    • Solid brass Tight-End bridge marries strings and body without loss of vibration
    • CAP "Sonic Arch" pickups provide clean, thick bottom and crystal-clear highs
    • E4 3-band dedicated EQ; active/passive operation
This bass will ship with the OHSC anywhere in the CONUS for $1100 $950

The case has a few scrapes on it (see pics) but is in otherwise good shape.

Personally, I think this bass feels very much like a high-end, boutique jazz bass... and if you like slap, you are gonna be pleasantly surprised. I'm not a big slapper nowadays, but this instrument has the very best slap tone of any bass I have EVER played. Think Marcus Miller type tone, but with a modern edge.

Is this the same one listed by Corner Music on Reverb.com? It also looks like it was traded on TB back in September, correct? No issue. I just like to research a bass's pedigree before pulling the financial "trigger".

That's the one! Forgot to mark it as sold on here.

It's a great bass but they had a Fender American Elite Jazz V for a great price there that I couldn't resist and ended up trading.

If you have any questions about it feel free to p.m. me. JD is the main bass guy over at corner and he's the one who did the trade with me so you can always give him a call as well.

I have one and had a 250k blend pot swapped in and it sounds AMAZING now, warmer and now has a nice sweep vs. a shelf with the blend.
