OHM Walsh 2 Speakers refurbished by OHM Omni-Directional

I recently upgraded my speakers and my beloved OHM Walsh 2's are now for sale.

This is basically a brand new set of Walsh 2's, redone by the same man who designed and built them in the first place in the early 80's. About 2 years ago I found a pair of Walsh 2's on ebay for cheap, when they arrived (as suspected) one woofer was blown, the second speakers had a bad crossover and the Walnut veneer was in pretty bad shape. OHM is still alive and located in Red Hook, BK. I dropped the speakers off to John Strohbein for reconditioning, he replaced the bad crossover and refurbished both woofers and tweeters, he also re-veneered the speakers to Maple per my request. The cans were straightened out ad repainted and new Grill covers were made. John put casters on them to make it easier to move around to find the "Sweet Spot", I also have wooden black feet for them if you prefer that look.

You are welcome to come by my apt and hear the Walsh 2's in action, they sound fantastic, the mid range on these speakers are some of the best I have ever heard, regardless of price. They make great mains and play nice with Subwoofers, they also work very well as L/R with surround systems.

    $600 obo

Open to trade offers, let me know what you got.

Ohm's are great speakers. I used to have a pair of F's back in the 70's. If I remember they used to be located in Brooklyn. Taffee Place? GLWTS

The F's are way cool, shame you dont have them anymore, they are very rare.

OHM is in RedHook Brooklyn now on Degraw st, not far from where they used to be. I was working with John Strobien himself on the restoration of these Walsh 2's.

I am open to cash offers and trade offers, try me.

Sorry James, the OHMs sold locally back in May. I have been using B&W CM9 S2 since and while they sound big and crisp i find myself missing the smoothness and open mid range of the Walsh 2's, along with a musical Sub these speakers are some of the best of the era.
