    These La Bella gut strings are actually very good quality and similar IMO to Chorda at a lower price. Now discontinued by La Bella so grab them while you can!
    I have 2 brand new G strings available at $45 - these are very good and I have tried one myself comparing to Chorda and Gamut these hold their own well. Much better IMO than Lenzner etc
    Two unwound A one brand new asking $60 and one just tried for a couple of days $40 these are hard to find. Full deep sound light tension they bow easily on my bass but I prefer a bit more tension.

    I haven’t yet tried an unwound A but I find the G bows as well as other plain gut eg Chorda Gamut Dlugoleckis etc
    Always takes a bit more care to get a good Arco sound on plain gut but personally I find the La Bella G pretty good.

    I just put G and D La Bella's on my bass and they surprisingly bow really well.

    Yes, they are underrated I think. Now they are discontinued so it seems...
