as soon as you change something from stock on vintage instruments, the price seems to go down. this bass is only 13 years old, but if you wanted to sell in another 15 years, you may have some loss in value. however, because you already has a trem on it, it may not matter (because it's already been changed) also, in BP's tour of the rick shop, rick talked about the 15 ultra light coats of paint they put on as opposed to the 3 "normal" coats usually put on by other manufactorers. so, you would be losing another classic ric. "thing" if you changed the paint. does rick do new pait jobs? maybe if you got it done through rick. it would still retain value and quality
just my $0.02 take it as you wish.

i do understand all of that...thats why i thought since the trem was on it if would decrease any more...ric won't do any custom colors..and if they did it would cost to much..
they guy does light coats instead of the heavey coats...but in the end its the same amount of paint almost...right?

i was thinking a blue type color....or so

    any suggestions on colors?
