Here are a few pics of the finished refinish.

It's my old '69 Jazz which I foolishly stripped of sunburst in sometime around 1975. I've just oiled it with a natural color oil since then.

About a month ago I got this wild hair to repair some of the dings. Like a dumbazz, I didn't use the exact oil and caused a couple of darker repair spots to occur.

Thus, I stripped the layers of oil finish, sanded, applied WATCO Natural oil again. No hard/clear coat.

To get a slight sheen I wet sanded it four or five times with 320/400 paper and oil, the applied a lemon oil/beeswax product. Over time it'll get a leeetle bit darker with more applications.

    But here's the current result:

    In the Buff

Whadda y'all think? (fishing for compliments)

    :)

    thanks, I think it's ash.

You can see several pieces since it was originally a painted sunburst in '69.

But it's reasonably presentable as a natural finish.
