Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

This isn't so much a thread about refinishing as much as it is a solicitation for anyone out there who can do it. I have an old Heartfield 5 that had a horrendous metallic pink/black burst kind of finish (very 80s). I've stripped most of the finish off and done some sanding, however applying a new finish is not something I really want to tackle myself. I was wondering if anyone could recommend someone who does quality finishes. I want some kind of translucent color in a poly/gloss type finish. There still needs to be some fine sanding done to the body, and the pu and elec. cavities will need to be cleaned out better. Can anyone give me a price range and/or suggest some good people for the job? I think the body is alder by the looks of it if that helps.
