Regarding bass' light, medium, heavy choices of strings

    Hello!

    I understand the types of strings are a personal preference but what would professionals recommend? Light, medium, or heavy in terms of the strings type.
    I'm going for a long scale, just need the string type.

    Start with medium/standard gauge (45-105 for four string) until you decide you need/want something different. The best string for someone else doesn’t make it the best choice for you. Your technique, gear, and taste will all play a role in what works best.
