Reggae tabs, looking for the "Answer!"

Discussion in 'Tablature and Notation [BG]' started by COOL AND DEADLY, Mar 22, 2004.

  1. I was surprised by the large following of reggae bassists here, and wondered if anyone could help me figure out the "Answer" riddim. Originally on Slim Smith's never let go and thousands since.

Actually the Answer riddim, as it appeas on the Slim Smith track among others, is a major triad. IOW, the 4's on the A string should be replaced with 5's.

Here's a site with good riddim samples

Hi. Just figured out the Ansa riddim and decided to check if anyone had it up online to see if I got it right, and found this forum in the process. I agree with ihixulu, it's in major for sure. The Waterhouse early 80's version I checked is in G. If anyone can be bothered to post tabs for any other classic riddims, I'd be quite grateful.

Here's one I can think of off the top of my head, although not an often versioned one:

THATS THE STUDIO 1 WAY, just change the key accordingly
