Just picked this guy up on Friday...and I must say that I'm lovin' it.

It's great all the way around (IMO). It hass the American P pup in the middle and the Noiseless American Jazz pup on the brigde.

I was playing many American P and J basses (and almost bought an American Jazz), and decided to give this thing a whirl. The first thing I noticed is that it did not feel anything like the other MIMs that I had tried. It felt great!!

So, then I was extremely intrigued. I then went back and forth between the American J (I was about to purchase) and the Reggie. The next thing that I noticed is how much better it sounded than the American. The P pup on the Reggie blew the S-1 switching on the American away.

So, that's it in a nutshell...the Reggie is all-in-all an extremely well-rounded bass.

That is a great looking bass. I'm waiting to see one in a local shop.

It is a great bass. I thought the preamp was a bit benign - when boosting the bass I couldn't really hear much difference. But still sounds great either way.

Those are very cool basses. I could see myself owning one. :D Is there an on/off for the pre or is it always on?

  9. I was wonderring how it sounds in passive. I have been looking for a P/J combo in passive and when my Aerodyne didn't cut it I traded it in against yet another Fender.

Just got from my first rehersal using it. :bassist:

Yes, there is a bypass switch for the pre.

I must add that when playing "Message in a Bottle", that thing nails Sting's tone with the pickup selector all the way to the P pup and the pre on. Then we played "Sick Again" (great tune) by Led Zep...so I switched all they way to the bridge J pup, turned the pre off, and WOW....what a tone.

Had a great time playing today. I'm a very happy camper. :hyper:

It's a string thru body version of the BAII.
