    Price drop from [DEL]$1,250 firm[/DEL].

    $999 plus shipping to you.

Priorities have changed, so a re-listing at a rock-bottom fire sale price is warranted. Any lower and I'd donate it to my local high school.

    For sale only, no trades.

Bass cost $1850 a few months ago plus a case. This is half the price of what it would cost you if Dan was still building. Not your basic Atkinson; it has the fancy top, Nordy guts, Gotoh bridge and quarter sawn neck.

As new, not a scratch, dent or speck of dust on it. Never left the bedroom and has sat in its case. Beautiful bass, just not playing as much any more so I'm trying to reduce the herd.

    Thanks for looking.

    • Ash body
    • Flame maple top
    • 59 burst
    • Quartersawn neck (same dimensions as a Lakland JO)
    • Maple board
    • Vintage sized frets
    • Tort guard
    • Gotoh bridge
    • Hipshot tuners
    • Nordstrand PJ pickups
    • Nordstrand 2 band pre with passive tone control
    • (vol/vol/tone/bass-treble stack)
    • Dunlop nickel strings
    • G&G case
    • 9.8lbs

Do you by any chance have any sound clips?

Also, am I seeing correctly that the jack is on the inside of the bottom contour of the body? If so, doesn't it get in the way when playing the bass seated?

I wouldn't think twice if that was a 5 string. Beautiful bass!

Yeah, the jack being there was not expected and a surprise to me as well and unfortunate. I obviously would have preferred it in the standard location. I have a 90 degree cable so it wasn't that big a deal and I sit all the time and I do not find it a problem or uncomfortable.

I don't have any sound clips, but it goes from a throaty maple-P when the P is solo'd, and really smooths out when both are on full. Really nice, but I already have a Nordy vPJ5 that I plan to be buried with so this is not getting any play time and being so freakin' cold up here in New England I need to upgrade my wood stove. Selling wood to burn wood. Kinda karma-ish I guess.

The Nordy guts are awesome by the way. None better.

Man, I said it in the last thread, but this thing looks so nice. I do NOT need another four string, even a little, but you're making it difficult. PJ bump.
