Remember me?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Steph Dawe, Jul 17, 2004.

  1. Possibly not. Anyway, I'm not a newbie, I just have a new nick. I haven't been here for a while, until I ordered my blue polo top from here and decided to come and check it out again - seems like all I've missed is the new design of the forums and pollybass's "suicide", which sounds disturbing  though I've read the sticky and am well informed. Thanks JT. :D

    Catcha round the forums,

What was your old nick? I was about to post and welcome you to TB on your other thread, but you have been here before.... Well, anyways, it's good to see more people copming to talkbass. It's amazing that I haven't found any other forum with such a rich community. I haven't ever found anythign like it. Well, we want to hear what gear you have, and what band stuf your doing!
  3. Stephdawe sounds familiar to me, but I could just be thinking of something else. So, maybe I remember you.
  4. has Einstein ever posted after the whole "Hi" thing? I sent him a friendly PM.
  5. My old nick was my full name, Steph Dawe... it's probably still on the server thing or whatever, but I decided to get a new nick seeing as I've got a new everything else (computer, website, PS2 =D) I remember guys like JT, Jazzbo if he's still around, Nick Gann, etc.... other names escape me. :smug:

Trevorus, Ba Gua Tiger, thinking of you: it's very nice to meet you, I hope we get along well :D

I don't have much (I'm just a poor teen :crying: ), 'cept my Fender Standard Jazz Fretless IV... I only have a practice amp a.t.m, a Peavy Rage 158 which I think is on its last legs (sound is scratchy and cuts out). And I do have a fretted somewhere, but it's only a Legend bass so it's not worth noting. You can see my bass on my website, and some others that I like ;) As far as band stuff's concerned, I'm only working for the school bands (winter concert coming up in two weeks...!), but I'm priveliged to be able to jam with the best jazz drummer in Adelaide, which can only be a plus :D until the music stops and you realise he's not very social! lol just kidding, he's a good bloke. So yeah, not much at the moment.

  6. I remember you from my days 'lurking'...good to see you back! :)

  7. Not that you would nessicaraly remember me anyways cause I didn't have many posts until recently, but if it helps Solmnia was my old name and I like Talena (old avatar, and in my sig.) I do remember you slightly, not anything about you, just the name.

i figure you might be talking about me. (my ego tells me so, anyway.)

i have posted afterwards in threads that aren't about me. but not much.

my private messaging is all clogged up, in case you sent a pm to me. i have to delete my pm's individually, or is there an easier way to free up space (without paying money)?

also, at the risk of sounding like a n00b, why does talkbass insist on emailing me? i turned off all of the email options where i could. and i even deleted my email address from my profile. what more has to be done?

steph: does this make us re-n00bs?

Heard the name before on here. Don't remember any specific post/personality, sorry.
  18. make sure that under the submit reply button, you don't have email notifacation in the little scrolldown thing. Also check under options if you are getting emails saying you have PMs, other than that you shouldn't be getting emails from TB.

I will see if there is anything I can figure out about the PMs for you but I think you will have to delete them individually.
