    Hey all,

I figured this would be the best place to ask this question. I recently purchased a 99-01 (?) Danelectro Longhorn re-issue.

The binding tape is pulling up, like most people complain about. I think I want to pull the tape off completely. Has anyone on here done this? I am not too worried about actually taking the tape off, but I am worried about what will be underneath and how to remove it safely. I assume there will be glue and whatnot. Can you use Goo-Gone on a bass? Is there a safer alternative? Any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks!
