I recently got a strap from Jared Morante, and he was so kind as to even include his straplocks. This is great and everything, but I want to remove my straplocks from my old strap so it can go on other basses that don't have straplocks just yet.

    What's the trick?

Mine has the snap ring (or "E" ring)holding the washer on the backside of the strap. You pry it off with a flat-headed screwdriver, being VERY careful to watch where it lands!

try neednose pliers to grab the clip ring, but beware - those rings fly, far. watch your hands as well, i have hurt a few fingers in the past

    good luck :)

Are they not useable once the clip is removed?

I'm not quite sure how a self-inflicted fatality should be avenged...

Oh, I know: we could pimp-slap Peter Duncan!

Get in touch with Jared and tell him to remove them. He should have the technical skills to remove them as he put them on.

  14. Man if I had a nickel for every time I've said that.

You'd have a nickel because you were too over confident to succeed the second time?
