i think that it would be good if you could rename the "technique" forum, to "technique/lessons". i was thinking that it might be good if whoever, could make up their own lessons for things. whether it's theory, tapping, harmonics, exercises, ect...

That forum is already here. From my understanding, that is what General Instruction is for.

I think we need a music theory forum on the BG side - so, if it's not technique, then really it's a question of music theory - at least, in it's broadest sense - I know there's one on the DB side, but I think this is far too "intimidating" a place for most BG'ers!! ;)

I think we should make the theory forum completely separate. Last time I heard, music theory was music theory and no different on BG than on DB.

Besides, most would benefit greatly from reading the DB'ers posts. I know I have! :)

Well, I'm sure that should be the case, in theory - but my experiences, there, have put me off ever asking a question about theory again and I have had PMs from people saying they feel the same way - and I'm getting agreement here, in this thread?

In real life, I do learn a lot about music theory from DB'ers - but here I feel it's more abuse than advice...:meh:

I think we all have taken a few lumps from the Dark Castlers... but it is all in good fun, no?
