K, call me crayzee... I have found my soul mate and she's not a bass...

I don't know the Reno area. I figured somewhere around Tahoe would be nice. Can you good folks suggest any nice outdoor places around Tahoe for a marriage proposal? I may be asking this in a public forum, but it is sacred to me. I just need tips from somebody over there. I could ask her but that would sort of spoil the surprise...

    I know... :rollno:

Reno is a short drive from Lake Tahoe. I suggest that area. Find some place overlooking the lake, which is absolutely crystal clear year-round. In fact, you can seen through the water to a depth of about 100 feet. Very pretty. LT has my vote!

    I would take her here:

I will say "marry me... because look at this view... it can only get better from here"

And then i will put on a plastic ring from those safeway 25cent machines....

    Who wouldent want that!

I'm pretty sure any where around that lake is going to be beautiful.
  6. Emerald Bay on the east side. Go to the ranger station for the Desolation Wilderness entrance there and get the trail head info. Pack a backpack with food and beverages, hike up until you get to a killer vista looking over the bay and lake. Done.

Here's the ranger station info, it's the first one on the page:

  9. No problem. Just realized I said east side of Lake Tahoe. It's on the WESTERN side, my brain got flipped.

Something strange about proposing to your girl at the entrance to a place named desolation.

You're just a short drive from the Bunny Ranch-can't get more romantic than that.
