I'd like to get some advice from the pros on how to repair and restore nitro lacquer finishes on a Kay or other American plywood bass, 1930s to '50s.

These finishes are easily scratched and are often pretty beat by now. Some only need spot repair, sometimes it's better to do full panels. Some owners may like to restore a finish that a previous owner stripped and redid badly. Blondes don't show it as much, but they often need attention too.

I'm hoping to get your tips on both products and techniques to closely match the original finishes. Thanks!
