Replacement bridge for Yamaha Motion B III?

    Bit of a shot in the dark, but does anyone know if I can replace what looks like a standard bridge on an '86 Yamaha Motion B III with a similar or high-mass standard Fender bridge? I wouldn't bother, ut the original is pretty corroded, and it is an excellent bass overall.

    does your bridge look like the one in this post?

    if so, i'd say it's pretty likely that Fender high-mass would work. Personally I'd be inclined to try and clean up the original before i considered replacement, though.

    Thanks. I agree; I also ordered a set of medium scale D'Addario strings for it, as I believe short scale might be a bit short.

    good call, the Motion B's are 32" (medium scale).

    Hey there, sorry for digging up the years old thread...Did you end up replacing your bridge? If so...what bridge did you go for? I am looking to find a replacement bridge for mine. Thanks in advance!
