Anyone have a good suggestion for a set of pickups for a Fender P-Bass? I'm looking for something more low end to it that will still give me the mid range cut that the stock p-ups have. If I'm asking a lot and I should just give up and look for a new bass, I'd rather know now than get mocked out of the forum!

If you want old school thump and not too expensive Serymour Duncan SPB-1 Made to sound like a 57 P-Bass. Also the Current Fender 62 P-bass Pickup is very good and for a little more money you can have it your way with a call to Lindy Frailin and get one custom wound to do what you want.

  4. Check out the Antiquity P bass pickups from Duncan.
I have them in my old 65 Fender P in which the original went bad.
The Antiquity sounds great live and like a million bucks in the studio.
