replacement pots on p bass

    Replacing the pots on my mexi p bass - are the ones at Musicians Friend - the Fender 250K solid shaft model - are they OK to use? My P has stock, passive pups.

    yep. just make sure your knobs have the set screws, otherwise you'll have to use the split shaft pots.

    Just out of curiosity, do they NEED to be replaced?

    Also, if you want to be able to use different knobs, they make little bushings that can convert split knobs shafts to solid knob, so you don't get that knob wobble.
