    Howdy,

I have an older P-Lyte going into a '71 Kustom 250. The "tuck 'n roll" Kustom has two 15" Altec-Lansing 421A's which were the original speakers offered as an upgrade back in the day. Creedence had a whole back line of these bad boys.

The bass just doesn't have the low end I'm looking for. Want a bottom end you can feel rather than hear. The big Kustom should be capable of producing this but the guitar may not be.

What should I do to "bass-up" the P-Lyte? This is the one with active pickups.

Do I have to replace the pickups? And if so do I have to go 'active?' What combination of pickups, active or passive, will 'bass up' the P-lyte.

Maybe I can't get to where I want to go with the P-Lyte but I'm hoping someone might know how to at least modify it a bit so it's a bit boomier/mellow.

    Thanks & Regards,
